Join us on a new journey

to transform how we engage with public policy

The Pacific Institute of Public Policy is evolving into the pacificpolicy.network.  Established in 2007, we have served as the region's premier think tank, leading the way in stimulating debate and informing new thinking through a Pacific lens on the issues that matter. Over the years we have achieved a great deal and have much to be proud of, including: pioneering the acclaimed MP Face to Face series as an innovative citizen engagement model; hosting countless public discussion forums, staging the Pacific Debate together with the Vanuatu and Melanesian school debating competitions, communicating research and technical information in easy to digest formats, and amplifying Pacific voices at home and on the international stage.

Re-thinking

Re-thinking the think tank

A great deal has changed in our region and beyond since we began. Not least of which the funding and technology landscape in which we operate. Never one to rest on our laurels, or be defeated by seemingly insurmountable obstacles, we have embraced the opportunity to re-think how we engage with public policy. The mission stays the same - to stimulate and inform inclusive policy responses to our development challenges. But we are adapting our approach to achieve more for less!

New

A new model for a new era

The pacificpolicy.network builds on our rich history of engaging with the public policy community, bridging gaps between technical knowledge and policy-making, and using story-telling to inform a broad audience.  Aided by the rapid improvements in online connectivity, we are forging new ways of public problem solving to better connect citizen need to government response.

Future

A future worth investing in

The social media explosion has given rise to the democratisation of information. We see a future where the people of the Pacific further shift from being informed to be active participants in the policy decisions that affect their lives. We are now inviting interested organisations and individuals to invest in our revamped civic enterprise, and be a part of that future!
